Our History

Grace Church Jorhat was established as a church in 2015 with the realization of the desperate need that both Christians and unbelievers have of the true preaching of the word of God in Assamese. The church started as a very small group, and God has slowly but surely added members of all different backgrounds.

In September 2018, the small bible study group started to meet on Sunday Evenings for Worship. New believers started to join the group and eventually the fellowship started to meet on Sunday Mornings. Now, the church meets on Every Sunday Morning at 9AM for God-glorifying, Christ-centred, Spirit-filled worship. The fellowship instituted into a Church on July 21, 2019 through the announcement of the Statement of Faith, recognition of Elders and members making a covenant.

Our Vision

We desire to see the church of Jesus Christ built up in the truth of His Scriptures, in living in a way that pleases Him, and that through the proclamation of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, people would come to a saving knowledge of Him, and that he would be worshipped and glorified among all the peoples of Assam. May God build up his church in this region!
